Our founder and CEO, Mike Corcoran, joined the U.S. Air Force in 1983, when telephones were still connected to a wall jack and long before the Internet had been invented.  While in the Air Force, he worked on special projects, all using "advanced technology," at least for that time.  As personal and work computers started becoming popular and accessible, Mike was the person everyone went to for technical help and advice.  In time, he began creating hardware and software solutions for various Air Force missions.

In 1991, he was honorably discharged from the Air Force and started Computer Support Services (CSS).  Still, computers were not as prolific as they are today, and Mike went to Wright State University where he earned a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and became an English teacher.  After 10 years as a teacher, he earned a master's degree and became a technology director for multiple school districts.  All the while he continued to grow CSS.  During this time, the Internet started to become a commonly known phenomenon, and Mike saw its potential.  He learned how to build website and CSS transitioned from a business selling and repairing hardware to a web design company.

CSS continued to build websites, but as cell phones became commonplace and social media became ubiquitous it expanded, providing fully integrated IT solutions for business.  These solutions include strategic planning for all aspects of business' IT needs, including hardware, software, infrastructure, peripherals, security and marketing.  Since businesses were looking for much more that computers, CSS changed its name to more accurately reflect its true value.  IT Strategic Solutions was born.

What Makes Us Different
